Ikkyu Grading 2005

Three Kendoka from the HKC TJ Clarke, Steve Harris, and Jason Heath challenged for Ikkyu at the JCCC Kendo Club in Toronto. All three passed the test and revieced their Ikkyu ranks. Somewhat to their surprise fellow HKC member Simone traveled to the grading herself to take part in classess with Raymond Sensei and the UofT Kendo Club. The evening before the grading all HKC members gathered for a free practice at the JCCC where they were joined by Roy Asa Sensei everyone left covered in sweat and exhausted! Now onto the pictures!
